The brewpub offers fun, adventurous dishes that capture the flavor of the seasons, as well as a vast array of the highest-quality Blue Heron beers on tap and to-go. With an experienced and enthusiastic staff in the kitchen, the focus is on freshness and vibrant flavors by using superior-quality ingredients to make appetizers, sandwiches and entrees.

About Our Brewmaster

For our Brewmaster, Josiah Beha, craft beer has always been about more than what’s in the glass—it’s about the community built around it. A Southeast Ohio native, his journey began with the mission-driven culture of Jackie O’s Brewery, an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the industry.

What started with a modest homebrew kit quickly evolved into a dedicated professional career. Josiah honed his craft from the ground up, beginning in the cellar at Sandy Springs Brewing Company before moving to the acclaimed Columbus Brewing Company. There, he mastered large-scale production, focusing on the rigorous quality control and technical consistency required to produce world-class beer.

Now in his fifth year at Blue Heron Brewery, Josiah is proud to lead our brewing operations as Head Brewer. A multi-medal winner at the local, state, and national levels, his approach combines award-winning technical precision with a deep respect for tradition.

Under his leadership, Blue Heron fans can expect the core brands they love to remain as consistent and refined as ever. Looking forward, he is excited to expand our portfolio with crisp, highly drinkable offerings and thoughtful experimental releases that push the boundaries of flavor while maintaining perfect balance.

Beyond work,  Josiah cherishes life with his wife and their two children, spending their weekends exploring local parks, museums, and cheering on family at sporting events. Whether they’re enjoying a slow Sunday brunch with grandparents or building block towers at home, his focus is always on making memories with his family.
